Halloween Rest Stop is just around the corner. Kyle and Carla are looking for candy and baked goods donations as well as volunteers to help set up, run and tear down for the event.
Alyssa Brittan is selling candy bars to assist her dance troupe. Only $1 each!
The Walking Club meets on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6:00pm. We will walk in Eldora’s neighborhood this week and discuss where we will meet next week. October 21 & 22 – “Building an Inclusive Church†The Building an Inclusive Church trainings help you design and implement a process for your congregation to publicly and intentionally welcoming people of all sexual orientations and gender identities and expressions. Building an Inclusive Church equips you with ways to create dialogue – deepening relationships throughout the congregation rather than sparking debate and division. Saturday, October 22 at 4:00pm – Youth Event: Pumpkin days and Corn Maze festival at Tolmachoff Farms, 5726 N 75th Ave. Glendale. Meet at the farm entrance, bring a friend. All youth 2-18 are invited (parents can come too). Contact Holli or Luis for more info.

Sunday, October 23, 11:45am (after church) – “Welcome Baby Girl West†baby shower. All are invited to attend. A light lunch will be provided. The West’s are registered at Target – http://tinyurl.com/gsvyb8s. Please RSVP to Mary (632-974-8589) or Eldora (632-566-9299) so we can have enough food for everyone.
Sunday, October 30, 9:30am – Budget meeting – we will vote on the budget, sustaining World Church appointed officers (CFO, Recorder, and Historian) as well as the following: Please prayerfully consider committing to a congregational blessing. This would require a commitment from members of the congregation to pray and study as directed by the Evangelist. Also, please prayerfully consider supporting a food pantry for the neighborhood out of TBW.
Sunday, November 13, after church – Thanksgiving Meal. Please see the sign up on the board by the kitchen. We need cooks, “set-upersâ€, and “tear-downersâ€.
Saturday, December 10, 4:30-6:30 pm, at the church – Dinner Theater presented by the youth. You are invited to bring your own talents to share as well – tell a joke, read/write a poem, sing, dance, do cartwheels or whatever you consider a talent ïŠ
