New announcements are purple
The 2017 Directory is in the process of being edited and proofed – please see Eldora to double and triple check your information to insure its accuracy. We will also be doing a photo directory after the new year.
It has been requested to make the TBW Congregational Blessing done several years ago available for those that would like to read through it. Click here – http://tinyurl.com/pkr3367 – for a copy of the Thunderbird West Congregational Blessing.
In search of – White Christmas Tree lights (I know we have a bunch all ready, but we can never have too many)
– Battery operated tea light and small candles
РA large Cr̬che/manger scene (one that will fit on the Communion Table and be able to be seen by the congregation).
-For Creche: Mary, Joseph, Baby, Shepherds, Wise Man/Men, Donkey, Cow, Sheep, Dove, and a Camel (and any “other” animals the children want to add *dogs, cats, lions, tigers and even bears*)- If your crèche doesn’t have all these elements, we can supplement with stuffed animals.
– People to help bring above elements to the creche during the service (thank you to those that have already volunteered)
– Canned goods to donate to the food bank (but that doesn’t need to be brought until Christmas Eve)
Bring the items to the church at anytime by Sunday, December 18. Please make sure your name is on anything you bring, because I won’t remember who brought what (especially lights and candles)
Saturday, December 3, 10:00am-4:00pm @ Phx Central – Mission Center Conference. Click here for the details. There will be worship at 10am, business to follow, lunch, and afternoon classes lead by Apostle Ron Harmon and Bishop William McFarlin, Diana Hansen, and Even Jenkins. Consider carpooling. See Heather if you need help in lining up a ride or are willing to drive people.
Friday, December 23 at 10am at the church- Heather will be there to decorate for the Christmas Eve service. Anyone that can come help will be greatly appreciated and put to work.
Saturday, December 24, 5:00pm – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. There will be NO services on Sunday, December 25, so plan to attend on Saturday evening. Invite a friend, bring a stranger. Carpooling is encouraged (especially if you have difficulty seeing after dark). Contact Heather Featherstone if you need help in arranging a carpooling buddy.
