Greetings from Independence, MO at the foot of the Temple! Â 
World Conference started on Friday, June 3 and I’ve been busy ever since. Â What a great week this has been so far (with a little kinda boring stuff – you know finances), but mostly great experiences. Â The TBW delegates (Mary Ragland, Dulcy Silverthorn & Heather Featherstone) will be sharing with everyone when our experiences when we return sometime in July (see the schedule).

Planners/Presiders: Please send copies of your worship services to Eldora Engebretson (elnjoeng@cox.net) , Heather (heather.featherstone1972@gmail.com), and the person scheduled to do your PowerPoint (check the schedule) as soon as possible. This is especially important if you are doing new hymns that are not as familiar to the congregation.
Heather Featherstone will be traveling through the month of June. If you want something printed in the weekly email announcements (and therefore in the bulletin), you MUST send any announcements to the church email address: thunderbirdwest.cofchrist@gmail.com. If you send announcements to any other address, they may not been seen in time to get into the announcements. If you make an announcement during Sunday morning worship, please remember to send it to the church email address as well.
Holli is looking for volunteers to teach the summer multi-age children/youth Sunday School classes. Lesson plans will be provided. The first summer class begins on May 29. Please contact Holli if you are willing to help out this summer.
Dulcy, Heather and Beth will be traveling in June. Scott and Diane Sloan have graciously accepted being the “go-to†people during our absence. Please contact Scott or Diane for any immediate pastoral needs in June.
Friday, June 17, 10:00 am @ the National Memorial Cemetery located at Cave Creek Rd and Loop 101: Memorial/Graveside service for Chuck Denton with full military honors. There will be an open house at the Denton Home following the service.
Sunday, June 12 during 10:30 worship service: Scott and Diane Sloan are planning this service as a Fellowship service. We will meet in the fellowship hall for a time of prayer, testimony and fellowship. Come prepared to share and offer prayer for each other. Donna Hill and the Sloan’s will provide refreshments before the service.

Youth Camps: Cost is free (except for Sr. High $50+$30 for food to and from NM). Jr. High Camp (going into 7th-9th grade) @ Whispering Pines: June 26-30. Junior Camp (going into 4th – 6th grade) @ Whispering Pines: June 26-30. Sr. High Camp (going into 10th-just graduated HS): June 18-24 @ Sacramento Mountain Retreat in NM. Camp is free except as listed, but donations to cover expenses can be made to your local congregations. ($200 for Junior, $250 for Jr High & Sr. High).

July 18-30 @ Whispering Pines: Summer Reunion. Registration forms can be found here. Cost is $175/person for whole week or $35/ day. Guest Ministry by Robin Linkhart & Larry McGuire.
August 12-14, @ Whispering Pines: Young Adult Retreat. More info coming soon.
